About The Role
The Senior Software Developer (.Net) role at Yolk Recruitment Ltd offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and leading the implementation of a new enterprise-grade, event-driven integration platform on the Microsoft Azure stack. This hybrid role based in Bridgend combines technical leadership with hands-on development, providing a unique chance to influence the company's digital strategy and shape its future technological landscape. As the first member of the new in-house development team, you will be responsible for establishing best practices, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital services that have a meaningful impact on the organization and its stakeholders.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background with a focus on enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure. Essential qualifications include demonstrated expertise in .NET and C#, along with hands-on experience in developing event-driven architectures using Azure services such as Service Bus, Event Hubs, and Event Grid. Candidates should have a proven track record of leading development teams, mentoring junior staff, and delivering complex projects within an agile environment. Professional certifications related to Microsoft Azure are highly desirable. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and stakeholder engagement experience are essential for success in this role. A background in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and familiarity with tools like Docker and Azure DevOps, will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement an event-driven API and microservices platform on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Integrate multiple third-party systems securely, maintaining data integrity and operational consistency.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and optimize operational performance.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance measures throughout the development lifecycle.
- Present proofs of concept, evaluate new technologies, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Contribute to the broader digital and technology strategy, aligning development efforts with organizational goals.
