About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clojure Software Developer to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis for an initial six-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing a suite of Clojure-based web applications, APIs, and supporting services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Clojure development, with proven experience in building scalable, efficient, and reliable software solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful results. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute actively to the development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in Clojure development, with a solid understanding of functional programming principles.
- Experience in building and maintaining web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of Clojure libraries and frameworks, such as Ring, Compojure, and Luminus.
- Familiarity with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, and integration techniques.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust Clojure-based web applications and APIs.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Assist in deployment processes and provide ongoing support for applications.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver solutions accordingly.
