Company Description

An excellent opportunity for a strong developer to join Behrens Group, an established group of trading companies, as an in-house developer and a key part of a growing business systems function. You'll work closely with senior management and departments across the business, with real ownership over ERP development, integrations and automation. Based in Manchester, with excellent benefits and career opportunities.

The Role

  • Customise, configure and maintain our ERP system to meet business needs.
  • Design, develop and maintain custom ERP solutions, integrations and extensions — plus wider internal business applications (integrations across ERP, Shopify, logistics and customer portals).
  • Automate business processes and reduce manual effort through well-designed technical solutions.
  • Work closely with departments to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical designs.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training to end-users.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) as a core part of day-to-day work — for code generation, refactoring, documentation, testing and research.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and efficiency within the ERP and connected systems.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, workflows and training materials.
  • Stay current with ERP developments and emerging AI capabilities, and implement best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
