Position Overview:

The Data Development group manages the lifecycle of data used for trading, back-testing, and research at Squarepoint. We work with quantitative researchers and tech teams to integrate, process, and serve data from a huge variety of sources into our data infrastructure.

We are currently seeking new data developers to join our Data Platform team, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity of thought and creative solutions are valued. Our emphasis is on a culture of learning, development, and growth.

Data Platform is a team of Python developers working closely with technology developers and quantitative developers to design, build, test, and maintain libraries, services, and frameworks used by data pipelines and investment teams across the entire Squarepoint organization.

Data Platform is able to deploy infrastructure, frameworks, and tools to the rest of the Squarepoint business at speed, with stability, observability, access control, and performance at top of mind. Services and libraries are resilient and highly maintainable. Data models are carefully designed in close collaboration with our domain experts for efficient application development, predictable behavior, and ease of debugging. Data Platform developers also support developers in adopting and efficiently using the tools and products developed, and increase the team's quality of life, throughput, and code quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
