Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Software Developer with strong Delphi/Object Pascal skills to join our IT team and help support, maintain and develop the bespoke ERP applications that underpin key areas of our business.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of established, business-critical systems, combining hands-on development with problem solving, application support and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT, QA and the wider business to keep our applications stable and resilient, deliver well-controlled enhancements, and help prepare our systems and data for the future as DD Group progresses towards a new Group ERP platform.

This role is offered on a fixed-term contract (FTC) until 30th June 2027, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact during an exciting period of change and transformation at DD Group.

Main duties

  • Support and maintain business-critical Delphi ERP applications and their integrations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, application defects and technical issues.
  • Develop and deliver controlled fixes and enhancements in response to business requirements.
  • Analyse existing codebases and data structures to understand system behaviour, dependencies and potential risks.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation covering application design, deployment, integrations and known risks.
  • Help improve source control, development and release practices.
  • Support disaster recovery testing and help strengthen application resilience and recovery processes.
  • Assist with controlled data extraction and activities supporting future data migration.
  • Work collaboratively with QA colleagues and business users to define requirements, test changes and manage safe releases.
  • Share technical knowledge across the team and support the future migration and decommissioning of legacy systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
