Software Developer (Entry-Level / Associate)

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Developer (Entry-Level / Associate) to join our team in the United Kingdom. This role is suitable for candidates who are starting their software development career or have some practical experience and are looking to further develop their technical skills.

You will work with experienced developers and cross-functional teams to build, test, maintain, and improve software applications and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
  • Troubleshoot software issues and assist with debugging and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, designers, and other team members.
  • Assist with developing new features and improving existing applications.
  • Perform software testing and help identify and resolve bugs.
  • Maintain technical documentation and development records.
  • Stay updated on relevant programming languages, frameworks, tools, and development practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application performance.

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or C++.
  • Understanding of software development principles, databases, APIs, and version control.
  • Familiarity with Git or similar version-control systems.
  • Basic understanding of debugging, testing, and software development life cycles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and develop professionally.
  • Previous internship, university project, personal project, or entry-level development experience is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with web or mobile application development.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, .NET, Spring, or Node.js.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational or NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
