About the Role
We're creating a new team dedicated to delivering and improving the digital products, tools and services that colleagues rely on across Oxfordshire County Council.
The team will bring together product, delivery and technical expertise to create practical solutions that help colleagues work more efficiently, reduce manual processes and improve the experience of using technology across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to help shape a new capability, influence how we work and contribute to a culture that values collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
As a Software Developer, you will work closely with services across the council to design, build and support digital solutions that make it easier for colleagues to do their jobs.
Using Microsoft Power Platform and other development technologies, you'll create applications, workflows, automations and integrations that help streamline processes, improve access to information and reduce administration.

Working alongside Product Managers, Delivery Managers and service colleagues, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement and translate business needs into effective digital solutions. You'll play an important role in helping the council get the most value from its technology investments while ensuring solutions remain sustainable, secure and aligned with organisational needs.
As part of a newly formed team, you'll have the opportunity to help shape our standards, ways of working and future direction.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and using technology to make a positive difference.
You may already be working in a technical role, or you may have developed significant experience creating solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, automation tools, reporting platforms or business systems as part of your current role.
We welcome applications from developers, business analysts, administrators, super users and subject matter experts with experience of building solutions using Power Platform, including colleagues with experience in areas such as:

You'll be comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues and be able to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way. You'll take ownership of your work, be keen to learn new technologies and contribute positively to the development of a new team and service. Most importantly, you'll be motivated by improving the experience of colleagues across the council and helping services work more efficiently.
