We are Siemens

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Geolus Search is our world-leading 3-dimensional shape search engine. Our developers are responsible for the design and implementation of our software; they maintain and develop our client-server application and our extensive suite of tools and plugins. They also work with customers to solve problems and develop new approaches to searching their data.

What We’re looking for

Are you an enthusiastic person working towards a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or similar? Do you have a desire to design and write new and interesting code as part of a friendly team? If you would be interested in joining an experienced and dynamic team, enthusiastic about exploring and adopting new technologies then we would love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing

This is a one year long or three month Summer Software Development Internship based in our Cambridge office, starting in July 2027. The role focuses on the design, implementation and testing of code in a variety of languages (such as Java) within a modern Agile environment. There will be opportunity to learn and contribute to a variety of areas of the software development process, with emphasis on achievable projects to both encourage your development and deliver something useful.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
