We are passionate about user-centred design, agile delivery, and building digital services that make a real difference. Our teams work at the forefront of innovation, helping organisations transform and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that truly matter.

Overview

We are looking for a Software Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality software to help UK government clients solve problems and deliver value for citizens and the public sector. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary agile team, delivering user-centred digital services that meet Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and accessibility requirements.

This is a hands-on technical role operating within structured and governed environments where security, performance, accessibility, and reliability are critical to service success.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and ship software components that meet user needs end-to-end
  • Write clean, secure, well-tested code that follows modern development standards
  • Operate the services you build — identify, triage and resolve production issues
  • Follow and help improve engineering best-practice guidelines
  • Coach apprentices and junior developers and contribute to Scrumconnect's engineering community
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions in your team
  • Collaborate closely with product, design and user research to shape what gets built

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
