We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team and play an important role in the continued development of our software capability.

This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving problems, building practical solutions, and working on varied projects within an engineering environment. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team, develop new applications, and contribute ideas that can have a real impact on how we deliver our services.

Our ideal team member is technically curious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You will be someone who enjoys learning, can adapt to new challenges, and takes pride in producing high-quality, maintainable software.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using C# and .NET
  • Developing robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
  • Designing and developing SQL databases, including database structures and queries
  • Translating technical and business requirements into practical software solutions
  • Testing, debugging, and resolving software issues
  • Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of existing applications
  • Contributing to software architecture and technical decision-making
  • Working collaboratively with engineers and colleagues across the business
  • Producing clear technical documentation and maintaining appropriate development records
  • Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to improve our software capability

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must:

  • Have proven commercial or professional experience developing software using C# and .NET
  • Have experience developing web applications
  • Have strong experience with SQL and relational database design
  • Have a good understanding of software development principles and practices
  • Be able to analyse problems and develop effective, practical solutions
  • Be capable of working independently and taking ownership of tasks
  • Be able to work collaboratively within a small, multi-disciplinary team
  • Have a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and technical challenges

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with machine learning
  • Experience working across the full software development stack
  • Experience developing software within an engineering, energy, or other technical environment
