Role description

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer Placement Student to join our team. This Placement is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in software development, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical scenarios. You will work closely with our senior developers and gain exposure to various stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.
  • Write well-documented and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects and issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and offer creative ideas for software solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and programming languages.
  • Learn and work with relevant tools, frameworks, and development methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.).
  • Familiarity with web development, databases, and version control systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prior projects, coursework, or personal projects showcasing your coding skills are advantageous.
