About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior C# /.NET Developer specializing in Risk & Securities Lending to join our client’s dynamic team in London. This is a contract position lasting six months, with a hybrid work mode that combines both on-site and remote work. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining high-performance, real-time risk calculation engines and securities lending workflows. You will work closely with quantitative analysts, risk managers, and front office teams to translate complex financial models into robust, scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial services, particularly within the domains of risk management and securities lending, and will be passionate about building systems that handle high throughput and low latency requirements.

- Extensive experience in the financial services sector, particularly within investment banking, hedge funds, asset management, or capital markets FinTech. Candidates with generic enterprise or web software backgrounds are not suitable for this role.
- Deep domain expertise in Credit, Market, or Counterparty Risk, Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, or Collateral/Margin platforms.
- Practical knowledge of calculation frameworks such as RWA, Basel III/IV, CCAR, counterparty limit monitoring, or live exposure calculations.
- Proficiency in C# and.NET (preferably.NET Core), with a strong emphasis on scalable API design and object-oriented programming principles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience managing large data volumes, coupled with familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with quantitative analysts, risk managers, and business stakeholders. Ability to translate complex mathematical models into reliable, production-ready code is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency risk calculation engines and securities lending workflows in C# /.NET.
- Collaborate with quantitative teams to understand complex financial models and translate them into scalable software solutions.
- Implement real-time limit engines, dynamic exposure calculations, and live financing workflows to support active risk management processes.
- Optimize system performance and ensure the reliability and accuracy of calculations in a high-volume environment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with risk managers and front office teams to ensure the software meets business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting risk management systems.
