An exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Software Developer

An exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Software Developer to join a growing FinTech business developing market-leading financial planning and modelling technology used by major financial institutions across the UK.

You'll join a highly skilled engineering team working on modern, complex applications, with exposure to cloud technology, CI/CD, financial modelling, and AI-assisted software development.

This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys solving technical problems, taking ownership, and working in an environment where you're encouraged to build, improve, and experiment.

Skills required:

  • Strong commercial Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience
  • Full-stack experience with React and Node.js
  • Experience with MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies
  • Good knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
  • Understanding of modern software engineering and Agile development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools would be highly beneficial

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build and maintain applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
  • Work across the stack with React, Node.js, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Develop and improve financial modelling applications
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments
  • Use modern AI development tools to support coding, refactoring, and debugging
  • Review AI-generated code for security, performance, and quality
  • Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Work closely with Product and business stakeholders
  • Take ownership of technical problems through to resolution
