Role Description

The Software Developer will design, build, and maintain software tools that support Pough Property Group’s home-buying and operations workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to translate real estate process requirements into scalable technical solutions, as well as optimizing performance and security of existing applications. This is a part-time, remote role, offering flexible hours while requiring reliable availability for scheduled meetings and project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production-ready applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, including server-side frameworks, APIs, and database integration.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time workload, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with real estate or property management systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
