Role Description

Software Development Engineer - Amazon Connect-Node- Typescript-Go-AWS

Location: Nottingham
Hybrid Working Pattern: 3 days in-office

About The Role

The successful candidate will be enabling a busy and thriving contact centre across voice and chat channels, while delivering on its own platform roadmap and ensuring we maintain a secure and stable service.

You will be working in and across tech teams which is a natural part of our outcome-based culture, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to talk, coach, learn, and deliver great outcomes for our customers. We’d be looking for you to set and maintain our engineering standards while also bringing your peers along with you on this journey.

Key Skills

  • Node/TypeScript or Go for your primary software development.

  • AWS Serverless Ecosystem, using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.

  • Amazon Connect.

  • Jenkins for infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline management.

  • Monitoring & Logging tools to troubleshoot problems in a distributed network of systems, such as Logz.io & NewRelic.

  • Production-grade experience of software engineering and knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead by example, setting engineering best practices, and mentoring other engineers to broaden their skillsets.
  • Design and own software engineering development deployments from start to finish, thinking strategically about back-end architectural and design patterns.
  • Manage system optimisations from identifying bottlenecks to participating in proactive incident management.
