How You’ll Support Our Mission
Our Data Platform team owns the development of a robust platform designed to empower all ESO customers to extract, transform, and utilize data from our various applications for their reporting needs. This platform supports multiple tools, including embedded third-party BI visualizations, a first-party flat file extractor, and direct SQL read-only access. We are committed to continuously enhancing these tools by adding new features, overhauling existing functionalities, and delivering the best possible user experience for our customers.
The team operates cross-functionally across the entire organization, supporting data mesh initiatives that enable domain teams to own their data products. We provide the platform and tooling needed to make this ownership seamless and effective, collaborating across time zones and countries to drive innovation.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will join our Data Platform team, contributing to its mission of enabling our customers and internal teams to fully harness the power of their data to improve community health and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing – the day to day
You can expect to work as a full-stack engineer with a focus on front-end development, helping balance the team’s expertise while being fully capable of contributing to and learning from back-end development efforts. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating excellent user experiences while also diving into back-end systems regularly.
Our Current Stack: C#, .NET Core, Angular, Typescript, Snowflake, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure PAAS / Serverless, EF Core, SQL Server, Redis, Sonar, Snyk, Cypress, Application Insights, New Relic. This is what you can expect to work with, but we are always open to using other technologies where they add value!
Our development engineers lead by championing a culture of personal ownership and customer-focused execution. We love those who pride themselves in how they contribute through excellent solutions and end-user experiences, as much as clean and clear code. Our team is made up of highly experienced engineers with a deep expertise across the stack, creating an incredible opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals while contributing your own skills and ideas. We foster an environment where collaboration and mentorship thrive, making it a supportive space to grow and refine your expertise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
