Description

Lead delivery. Build capability. Make an impact.

At System C, we're on a mission to improve health and care outcomes through innovative technology. As our CMM team continues to grow, we're creating a new Software Development Team Lead, known internally as Technical Team Lead, position to support a significant roadmap of NHS-funded work and establish a third delivery team. System C combines meaningful work with a collaborative environment where people are encouraged to grow, take ownership, and make a real difference.

This role is about more than leading development activities. You'll be responsible for helping a delivery team perform at its best, embedding effective agile practices, and creating an environment where engineers can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading one of the CMM delivery teams and taking ownership of delivery outcomes
  • Guiding day-to-day technical decisions and ensuring adherence to engineering standards
  • Contributing hands-on to software development, writing and reviewing production code alongside the team
  • Planning sprint delivery, tracking progress, and proactively managing risks and dependencies
  • Working closely with Product, QA, Information Security, Release Train Management and Architecture teams
  • Supporting complex technical problem-solving across the team
  • Introducing and embedding effective agile delivery practices
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers
  • Providing regular guidance, support and performance feedback
  • Helping deliver a substantial roadmap by coordinating multiple parallel workstreams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
