Software Engineer (PHP/Laravel & Node.js)
1 year FTC | St Paul's, London | Hybrid (2 days in office) | £60,000-£70,000
We're partnering with a growing, technology-driven organisation looking to add a Software Engineer to its engineering team.
This is an opportunity to join a business that values strong technical foundations, modern development practices, and continuous learning. You'll work across PHP/Laravel and Node.js/TypeScript, helping to build and enhance scalable applications, integrations, and services while collaborating with experienced engineers in a supportive, high-performing environment.

The role will play a key part in the development of a new internal business platform, supporting the replacement and modernisation of a core business system. Working closely with the wider technology team, you'll help build new functionality, integrations, and services that improve operational efficiency and support the organisation's long-term digital transformation goals.
We're particularly interested in developers who embrace AI-assisted engineering and regularly use tools such as Cursor or Claude to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery.
What we're looking for

- Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
- Commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong engineering fundamentals
- Someone who enjoys learning, collaborating, and developing their skills within a supportive team
