Role Description

As a Software Engineer at Bidro, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services that power our bidding and margin optimization platform. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust, scalable software solutions. Daily tasks include:

You will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and support continuous improvement of our development practices. This is a full-time remote role, offering flexibility while collaborating with a distributed team.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Java, React, Node.js).
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and propose practical technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working in a remote, distributed team.
