Senior Software Developer – Guildford | Full-Time Office-Based

We’re looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Guildford, working on challenging and innovative projects across software development, signal processing, image processing and secure systems.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work independently on your own projects while also supporting, mentoring and leading junior developers.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ professional software development experience
  • A strong academic background, ideally with a 1st or 2:1 degree (or PhD) in a numerate discipline
  • Strong academic results, including A-level Maths and Physics
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex, real-world software systems
  • Strong understanding of clear, efficient software design
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Linux systems, including configuration and administration
  • Experience with some of the following:
    • C/C++
    • Python and/or MATLAB
    • HTML/JavaScript and GUI development
    • Git and/or Subversion

What you’ll be working on

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work on technically interesting projects including:
    • Developing novel signal and image processing applications
    • Developing secure Cross Domain Solutions
    • Building user interfaces using Java or HTML/JavaScript
    • Supporting and training customers in the use of our software
    • Mentoring and leading other developers

Security clearance requirement

This role requires candidates to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Hold a valid British passport
  • Have been resident in the UK for the past 10 years, subject to the applicable clearance requirements

This is a fully office-based role in Guildford, Surrey. Candidates will be required to work five days a week in our Guildford office.
