Job Summary
Flight Management is a mission-critical airline operations solution that supports the preparation of every flight before departure. Our products enable airlines to optimise aircraft loading, calculate aircraft weight and balance, generate regulatory-compliant load sheets, manage operational changes, and ensure flights depart safely, efficiently, and on time. These solutions operate within a complex ecosystem of interconnected products, services, operational processes, and external integrations where reliability, accuracy, and compliance are critical.
You will work within Agile product teams, collaborating with Product Managers, Technical Business Analysts, Architects, Quality Engineers, domain experts, and airline customers. Your mission will be to translate complex operational requirements into scalable technical solutions, leveraging modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring solution quality, reliability, security, maintainability, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse functional and technical requirements to understand solution objectives and implementation considerations.
- Design and deliver scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable software solutions aligned with product and architectural objectives.
- Implement APIs, integrations, messaging, and data exchange mechanisms across interconnected products and services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Business Analysts, Architects, Quality Engineers, and domain experts to refine requirements and validate solutions.
- Implement and maintain automated testing and validation capabilities to support quality, reliability, and continuous delivery.
- Participate in peer reviews, technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering best-practice initiatives.
- Review and validate implementation artefacts, including AI-assisted outputs, to ensure compliance with engineering, security, performance, and operational standards.
- Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities throughout the software lifecycle.
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and delivery effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
