Senior C# Software Engineer
A leading Energy Trading Firm in London is seeking a Senior C# Software Engineer for scalable data-intensive platforms.
You'll be responsible for developing and enhancing systems that handle large volumes of real-time market and trading data, supporting critical processes across a global trading environment.
The.NET Developer role:
As a Senior Software Developer, you'll take ownership of technical requests from initial analysis and solution design through to development, testing, release, and production support. You'll work with a high degree of independence while contributing to the architectural direction and ongoing evolution of the wider data platform.
You'll be working on genuinely large-scale engineering challenges, including applications streaming 100s of GB of data through Kafka, data lake applications operating at 100s of TB scale, and databases reaching 10s of TB across relational, time-series, and OLAP technologies.

This is a senior hands-on position where you'll also mentor other developers, review code, and share technical knowledge across the team. You'll need to be comfortable picking up unfamiliar technologies quickly and applying them to new engineering challenges within a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Package:
- 💰 This role is paying up to £95,000 + bonus + benefits
- 🚂 Role is based in Central London
- 📍 Hybrid working. 3 days per week in the office

Skills:
- Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#/.NET.
- Experience working with data-intensive, high-volume, or real-time applications.
- Strong experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications.
- Experience with modern distributed technologies such as Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar would be beneficial.
- Ability to independently take ownership of technical requirements and see them through to completion.
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies and picking up unfamiliar tools quickly.
- Collaborative approach with an interest in sharing knowledge, supporting, and mentoring other engineers.
