Software Engineer | Backend Development | Python | AWS | API's | Onsite Bristol | £50,000–£60,000 + bonus + benefits

Method Resourcing are partnering with a rapidly growing energy technology business that has built a highly profitable and successful trading platform within the UK market and is now expanding across Europe.

They're looking for a Software Engineer to join a talented team of software engineers, data specialists, and traders, working on technology that directly supports commercial decision-making and business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering career who wants to work in a highly technical environment, learn from industry experts, and gain exposure to both software and data.

The role:

You'll be helping build and enhance the systems that support the company's cash management and trading operations, working on technology that has a direct impact on business performance. You'll be developing backend services, integrating data from multiple sources, and working closely with stakeholders to understand how technology can improve operational processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
