Frontier Resourcing are supporting a fast-growing National Security engineering SME as they continue to expand their technical teams in Central London.
This is an opportunity to join a highly technical business at an exciting stage of its growth, working on challenging software engineering programmes while developing your career alongside the company.
They aren't looking for engineers who simply tick every box. They're interested in curious, technically capable problem-solvers who enjoy learning new technologies, tackling difficult engineering challenges and taking ownership of their work.
What you'll be doing
- Designing, developing and delivering software for complex National Security programmes
- Building reliable, maintainable and high-quality software solutions
- Working across greenfield and evolving engineering projects
- Solving challenging technical problems within secure environments
- Working across languages and technologies including Java, Python, C++ and Rust
- Collaborating closely with Software, Data, DevOps and Platform Engineers
- Contributing to technical design, development, testing and code reviews
- Breaking complex requirements into manageable, testable solutions
- Working within Agile engineering teams and contributing throughout the development lifecycle
- Taking on increasing technical responsibility as the engineering team grows

What we're looking for
- Commercial experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer or similar
- Strong programming fundamentals and experience with at least one modern programming language
- Experience with Java, Python, C++ or Rust would be particularly relevant
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to approach unfamiliar technical challenges
- An interest in learning new languages, tools and technologies
- Experience delivering high-quality, tested and maintainable software
- A collaborative approach and clear communication skills
- An active SC or DV clearance
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo enhanced DV vetting
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Central London
