Hybrid/On Site Role: 4 to 5 days on site in the Cambridge area office
Overview:
My client, a key player in the Defence industry, is looking to hire a C++ Developer to contribute to some incredibly exciting Defence product related projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain modern C++ applications
- Involved in system architecture and design discussions
- Debug and optimise applications for performance and scalability
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests
- Work closely with multiple Technology and Product teams to deliver best-in-class Defence technology and solutions

Desired Skills:
- Solid background in C++ application design, development, and maintenance and modern C++ standards
- Solid experience with Win32 API - ESSENTIAL
- Solid experience with DCOM
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- Understanding of STL and Concurrency (threads etc)
- Complete understanding of the SDLC and version control
- Experience with real-time systems, TCP and UDP, Linux, hardware interfacing, and unit testing highly regarded
- Interest in the Defence industry and associated products highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills, team player, and comfortable working with multiple cross-functional Technology and Product teams
