Overview

Snowflake & AWS Data Warehouse Lead

Lead the technical design and architecture of enterprise data warehouse solutions built on Snowflake and AWS. This role combines strategic technical leadership with hands-on platform optimization, guiding a team in establishing best practices and ensuring code quality across mission-critical data platform initiatives. You will drive continuous improvement in data governance, infrastructure optimization, and incident response while managing the full lifecycle of data warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design and architecture of Snowflake and AWS data warehouse platforms, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, industry best practices, and project objectives
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce adherence to coding standards to maintain consistent quality and performance across all platform components
  • Manage dataset operations including creation, updates, and deletion across Snowflake and AWS data lake environments
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for incidents, service requests, and enhancement requests with emphasis on timely resolution and minimal platform downtime
  • Monitor and optimize storage usage, perform capacity planning, and implement data lifecycle management strategies
  • Lead technical discussions and present architectural decisions to stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of professional experience in data warehouse design and management
  • Demonstrated expertise with Snowflake platform architecture, configuration, and optimization
  • Strong experience with AWS services including data lake storage, compute, and related data platform services
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Proven experience with incident management and troubleshooting complex data platform issues
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
  • Client-facing experience with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Snowflake Certified Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for automated deployment
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for data platform operations
  • Background in mentoring junior data engineers or leading technical teams
