The Role
- Develop and enhance core trading systems using object-oriented languages (C++, Java, C#).
- Work closely with traders to translate new ideas into robust, scalable trading applications.
- Identify and implement novel techniques to improve trading algorithms and system performance.
- Contribute to an entirely UK-based fund, collaborating with key decision-makers in London.
- Maintain and optimize critical, performance-sensitive, real-time systems.

What You'll Need
- Excellent proficiency in an object-oriented language (C++, Java, or C#).
- A degree or relevant qualification, preferably in Computer Science or a numerate subject.
- Strong desire and ability to learn, particularly about financial markets.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on business priorities.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Experience with multithreaded and networked software development is a plus.
- Understanding of software development methodologies, especially Agile/Scrum.
