Software Engineer, React, Node.js, TypeScript, to £60k

A Software Engineer opportunity has opened up with a healthtech company whose platform is actively used across UK healthcare settings. This is a chance to use your full-stack skills in React and Node.js to work on products that genuinely shape clinical outcomes for some of the most vulnerable patients in the system. Could this be the role where your technical skills make a real-world difference?

The Role

The Software Engineer will take meaningful ownership of features across the full stack, working across frontend, backend, data, and AI-adjacent technologies to build scalable, performant solutions for clinical and operational users. You will collaborate closely with the product team to understand real user needs and translate them into secure, well-crafted software. You will also contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and continuous integration, while staying curious about emerging technologies and helping drive their adoption where appropriate.

The Company

This is a UK-based healthtech business operating at the intersection of AI, monitoring technology, and clinical workflows, with an established presence across UK healthcare and a growing footprint internationally. The company is mission-led and genuinely collaborative — everyone contributes to the direction of the product, and there is real investment in helping engineers grow their breadth of skills so the team can support one another effectively. Working patterns are predominantly remote, with team sessions in person a couple of times each month.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
