Founding Engineer / London

If you don’t want to inherit someone else’s roadmap, instead you want to build the product, shape the technology and help create the company behind it then this is one for you.

An early-stage AI company is looking for a Founding Engineer to turn big ideas into exceptional products. You’ll join early enough to influence everything, from the first lines of code to the product’s long-term direction.

What you’ll own

  • Build AI products from zero to one, take ideas from concept to production and iterate with real users.
  • Own the full stack, build across Javascript, React, TypeScript, Python and PostgreSQL.
  • Push the boundaries of AI, develop production systems using LLMs, agents, retrieval and emerging AI capabilities.
  • Shape the technology, influence architecture, engineering standards and technical direction.
  • Work directly with founders and customers, identify problems and turn ideas into products people genuinely want.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
