Unity / Parsec is recruiting for the role of Software Engineer. This Software Engineer role joins the platform systems team to build and maintain core Linux platform support. It involves low-level engine systems work, stability fixes, automated testing, code reviews, and collaboration with Product, Program Management, Engineering and QA teams.

What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain core Linux platform support.
- Work on low-level engine systems that underpin Linux targets, including SteamOS and Cloud technology partnerships.
- Investigate and resolve bug reports to improve stability.
- Use automated testing and code reviews to strengthen quality and delivery.
- Work with Product, Program Management, Engineering and QA teams to bring engine features to Linux platforms.

What they’re looking for
- Have proficiency with C++ development and software engineering.
- Have experience developing on Linux desktop distributions.
- Be able to debug, diagnose and solve problems throughout a codebase.
- Understand profiling and optimisation methods.
Additional role information
- Experience with SteamOS is listed as a possible advantage.
- The role may include opportunities to contribute to other supported platforms.
