About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Qualifications
- A degree in a computing-related field such as Computer Science, Robotics, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in writing object-oriented code using C++ and/or C#.
- Experience in developing Windows desktop applications, preferably within Visual Studio.
- Knowledge of software design patterns such as MVVM and the ability to develop software capable of multitasking on Windows platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, especially in systems integrating software with mechanical or electrical components.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Windows-based applications that interface with hardware instruments.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand system requirements and contribute to design decisions.
- Write comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications and user guides.
- Support the wider business by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting support for software-related issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for existing products.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving system issues, ensuring reliable operation of hardware and software integrations.
