A leading Energy Trading Firm in London is seeking a C# Software Engineer to develop business-critical applications across its Control Functions technology team.

You'll be responsible for developing and enhancing bespoke systems, reporting solutions, and integrations supporting key areas including Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Settlements within a global trading environment.

The.NET Role:

As a Software Developer, you'll join an experienced engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing applications across a broad Microsoft technology stack.

With a strong emphasis on backend and database development, you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, taking solutions from initial requirements and design through to implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

Working closely with engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of your solutions while contributing to the team's evolving technology roadmap and development practices.

Tech:

  • C#, .NET Core, Web API, SQL Server, Oracle, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, CI/CD

Package:

  • 💰 This Software Developer (.NET / C#) role is paying up to £90,000 + bonus + benefits
  • 🚂 Role is based in Central London
  • 📍 Hybrid working. 3 days per week in the office

Skills:

  • A strong C#/.NET background, ideally gained working on complex or business-critical applications.
  • Confident working with SQL and relational databases, particularly where applications have a significant data component.
  • Comfortable getting involved across the backend, from application logic and APIs through to database development.
  • Experience working with cloud-based applications and modern deployment environments would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, or the wider Microsoft data stack is advantageous rather than essential across the board.
  • Able to take a piece of work from an initial business problem through to a working production solution.
  • Someone who enjoys solving problems independently but is equally comfortable collaborating and sharing ideas with the wider team.
  • Confident communicating with stakeholders and translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
