The Software Engineer will work on-site in London in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software systems that power DCL’s digital and AI-driven content solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Building and optimizing back-end services and APIs
  • Implementing integrations with data, analytics, and generative tools
  • Ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable performance for web and marketing platforms

The role involves collaborating with designers, marketers, and data specialists to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as debugging, testing, and documenting code. The Software Engineer will participate in code reviews, support deployment processes, and help improve development workflows and tooling in a fast-moving, experiment-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
  • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#).
  • Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices for clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience working with web technologies, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP), and version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with data-driven or AI-powered applications, analytics integration, or digital marketing platforms is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
