C#/.NET Developer – Backtesting & Test Automation Framework
We're looking for a C#/.NET Developer with a strong testing mindset to build a backtesting and test automation framework around an in-house trading system. We're looking for a developer who understands how to design robust, scalable frameworks and can turn complex scenarios into automated, repeatable tests.
What you'll be doing
You'll work closely with a tester to build a framework that transforms backtesting scenarios into automated tests.
The platform will effectively be treated as a black box, meaning you'll focus on observable inputs, outputs, and event-driven behaviour.

Contract Length
- Initially running till end of year
Location
- Hybrid working, offices in London
Pay
- £600-700/ day Inside IR35
You'll be responsible for building a framework capable of:
- Processing large volumes of data
- Running multiple scenarios efficiently
- Supporting parallel test execution (around 20 concurrent tests)
- Managing event-based behaviour and automation pipelines
- Creating maintainable, scalable automated test scenarios
- Making it straightforward for non-developers to add new tests

Essential experience
- Strong C# /.NET Core development experience
- Experience building a backtesting framework or automation framework
- A strong understanding of automated testing architecture
- Experience working with event-driven systems
- Experience running tests in parallel and handling high data volumes
- Financial services experience is highly preferred
