About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join BP Energy as a Senior Energy Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, evaluating energy portfolios, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making processes. The Senior Energy Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy assets, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to the development of sustainable energy projects. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Energy Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications such as CFA, CERA, or PMP will be considered an advantage. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in energy market analysis, energy trading, or a related domain. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools (such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau), and a solid understanding of global energy markets are essential. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are also required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of energy markets, including oil, gas, renewable energy, and electricity sectors, to identify trends and forecast future developments.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and optimize energy portfolios.
- Collaborate with trading teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Monitor regulatory changes and policy developments that impact the energy sector, providing insights and recommendations to ensure compliance and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Participate in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, aligning energy strategies with environmental goals.
- Support the evaluation and integration of renewable energy projects and emerging technologies into existing energy systems.
