Senior Software Engineer - AI Automation & Platform Reliability
Working Model: Remote (UK)
Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract
Hourly Pay Rate: £54.81
The Opportunity
We are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to help build and maintain the automation systems that keep a large-scale digital platform operating reliably in production.
This role sits at the intersection of AI-driven automation, cloud infrastructure, platform reliability, CI/CD engineering, and backend systems. You will be responsible for reducing operational overhead through intelligent automation, improving deployment reliability, and developing self-healing systems that proactively detect and resolve production issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex operational challenges, building autonomous systems, and working on live, high-scale products used by large global audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation systems that ensure platform reliability and production health.
- Develop and improve AI-assisted tooling capable of detecting, diagnosing, and automatically resolving software issues.
- Build solutions that identify broken builds, determine root causes, and recommend or execute fixes.
- Maintain and optimise CI/CD, build, deployment, and release pipelines.
- Monitor production systems, performance metrics, incidents, crashes, and service health.
- Reduce manual operational and on-call workload through intelligent automation.
- Support cloud deployment environments and backend service infrastructure.
- Lead critical infrastructure migrations while maintaining platform stability.
- Improve deployment processes and automated operational workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliability across multiple platforms and user experiences.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
