Are you a Java Developer looking for a fully remote opportunity where you can work on modern technology, build new services and play a key role in the development of a growing digital platform?
We’re working with an established organisation that is currently going through an exciting period of transformation and building a new technology team. They’re looking for a talented Java Developer to join the team and help shape the next generation of their customer-facing self-service platform.
The Role
As a Java Developer, you’ll be working as part of an Agile development team responsible for maintaining and enhancing an existing self-service platform, whilst also building new applications and services.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and building applications and services using Java
- Working with APIs and microservices
- Developing new features and enhancing existing functionality
- Supporting the migration from a legacy platform to a modern self-service solution
- Working collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Participating in two-week development sprints and Scrum ceremonies
- Contributing to technical discussions and helping shape solutions
- Working alongside a supportive and collaborative development team

What we're looking for
- Commercial experience developing with Java
- Strong understanding and experience working with APIs
- Experience developing or working within a microservices architecture
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to contribute as part of a team
- Experience with Docker
- Understanding of containerisation technologies
- Experience working on customer-facing platforms or self-service applications
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
