Bright Purple are recruiting for an experienced C#/.Net & WinForms Developer to join a well-established investment technology team delivering enhancements and continuous improvements across a portfolio of business-critical applications.
This role is ideal for a contractor who enjoys working within complex enterprise environments, balancing hands-on database development with application enhancement work across mature systems that are central to daily business operations.
The Opportunity:
You’ll become part of a collaborative development team responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernising a suite of front-office applications used by investment professionals. The focus is on delivering incremental improvements, reducing technical debt, and supporting ongoing business change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing and enhancing enterprise applications built on C#/.NET WinForms
- Designing and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL database objects including procedures, packages, functions, and scheduled jobs
- Supporting the ongoing evolution of business-critical systems and processes
- Investigating and resolving complex technical issues within existing applications
- Working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Participating in technical design, peer reviews, testing, and release activities
- Contributing to technical debt reduction and application modernisation initiatives

Essential Skills
- Solid background in C#/.NET and WinForms development
- Strong commercial experience with PL/SQL
- Azure DevOps and Git source control experience
- Agile delivery experience within collaborative development teams
- Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle
Desirable Experience
- Entity Framework, Angular or TypeScript
- CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling
- Service-oriented or microservice architectures
- Financial services or investment management environments
