Software Developer – IBM Maximo & DB2 on Azure (SC Cleared)
Location: Derby, UK (Hybrid working setup)
Contract Type: Freelance B2B Contract
Workload: Full-Time (100%)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance (or lapsed SC eligible for immediate reactivity) strictly required
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Software Developer with specialized experience in IBM Maximo and IBM DB2 hosted on Azure Cloud for a hybrid contract engagement based out of Derby. In this role, you will lead backend system configurations, custom script developments, and database optimizations supporting critical asset management and engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maximo Backend Configuration: Lead backend system setups, automation scripts (Jython/Python/JavaScript), work center customizations, and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) data flows.
- Cloud Database Engineering: Manage, optimize, and maintain IBM DB2 databases deployed on Azure Cloud infrastructure.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain secure API and web service connections between Maximo, Azure services, and enterprise backend applications.
- Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot backend script logic, optimize complex SQL/DB2 queries, and ensure maximum system availability.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- IBM Maximo Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in backend Maximo configuration, customization, and automation scripting.
- Database & Cloud: Proven background working with IBM DB2 running within an Azure Cloud environment.
- Security Vetting: Must hold active UK SC Clearance (or have held SC clearance that lapsed recently and can be reactivated).
- Location: Ability to work hybrid out of the Derby office location according to team schedules.
