About My Emissions
Food and drink accounts for a quarter of the UK's greenhouse gas emissions. Food businesses increasingly need to measure these emissions, but traditional solutions are often slow, manual and expensive.
My Emissions uses technology to solve this problem. Using the latest AI technologies, we're able to automate the most repetitive and time-consuming tasks, turning a 6-month project into a 5-minute task. The results are often more accurate as well. Ultimately, this allows customers to move from just reporting carbon to taking action.
We now work with 100+ food and hospitality businesses across the UK and abroad, with customers including 25+ UK universities, recognised brands like GAIL's and Wahaca, and even UEFA, who we've worked with at the Champions League Final for 3 years!
You'll be joining a lean 8-person team that's using AI to solve real-world problems for our clients.
The Role
We're looking for a backend-focused or full-stack engineer interested in using AI-driven development to deliver cutting-edge new functionality for our clients. This is a high-ownership role in a small but mighty product team - you'll have real influence over what we build and how we build it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role would combine elements of traditional product engineering, with LLM / agentic system engineering. While we want someone who can confidently work on the backend, we welcome people interested in working across the stack and leading projects from inception to delivery.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the product team to develop innovative solutions that help businesses understand and reduce their emissions
- Architect and implement platform features, delivering carbon assessments and reporting dashboards with reliable calculations and a great UX
- Evolve our AI-powered data ingestion and purchasing intelligence system, taking messy data and turning it into meaningful insights
- Help build robust, scalable infrastructure capable of onboarding a new client and processing years of purchase data in minutes
- Drive the adoption of agentic workflows across our product and wider business
What We're Looking For
- A combination of product-level thinking with AI-driven execution. Comfortable reasoning about user needs and then exploring a range of designs and technical implementations
- Experience building with AI, either integrating LLMs into products or developing agentic workflows, MCP tools etc.
- Solid Python experience, ideally with Django or FastAPI
- Comfortable working with data at scale, including API design, relational database design, performance monitoring etc.
- Competent working with cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Happy taking features from idea to production, with a pragmatic, self-directed, and collaborative approach

- Real impact. Every report you help ship gives a food business the data to meet ESG regulation, reduce emissions and engage customers on sustainability.
- Ship fast, learn fast. A small, AI-forward team building at the edge of what's possible in emissions data, with the latitude to try things and see results in weeks, not quarters.
- Central London office, with gym, food and drink on us, plus co-working spots across the city when you want a change of scene.
- Flexible by default. Mostly remote, one day a week with the team in London, plus a month a year to work from abroad.
- Health cash plan
