Market Maker Engineer

Institutional digital asset trading firm

Location: London (Canary Wharf) — 5 days in office
Salary: £180k+


Plexus is working with one of our clients within the institutional digital assets space. They are an established trading firm operating across global crypto markets, providing pricing, hedging, and execution infrastructure at scale.

They are looking for a hands-on Market Maker Engineer to join the team, working directly with the CTO to build and improve their core market-making and trading systems.

Role

  • Building and improving pricing and quote-generation infrastructure.
  • Developing automated market-making and hedging systems.
  • Managing exchange connectivity and market data infrastructure.
  • Optimising performance across trading and execution systems.

Requirements

  • Strong Java development experience.
  • Proven background building trading, market-making, or pricing systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and trading infrastructure.
  • Experience with low-latency or high-performance trading systems.
