The Role and What It Can Do For Your Career
This is a Backend Engineer position within a high-performing engineering team working across all major cloud providers with a cutting-edge technology stack. You will take full ownership of the lifecycle of projects from initial design through to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production. You will contribute to technical and architectural designs, perform reliability and performance analysis, and work closely with teams across Frontend, DevOps, and Product to deliver high-quality features.

You will be working on distributed systems problems across cloud-native infrastructure in a domain cloud security, that is growing faster than almost any other area of technology. The eBPF and runtime security domain is technically demanding and the experience you build here, across Golang, Kubernetes, Neo4j, TimescaleDB, and multi-cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full lifecycle of projects from initial design and development through to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production
- Perform reliability and performance analysis on Golang and Java-based applications
- Contribute to technical and architectural designs, capacity planning, and the definition of SLOs
- Conduct design and code reviews as part of the wider engineering group
- Collaborate across Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver high-quality features
- Work with cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Neo4j, ElasticSearch, Redis, TimescaleDB, and RabbitMQ

What You Will Need:
- 1 or more years of backend engineering experience in a high-level programming language, ideally Golang and/or Java
- Experience with cloud platforms and products across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
- Experience implementing data-intensive systems including databases, event systems, and messaging systems
- Solid understanding of CI and CD practices
- Experience with microservices-based architecture
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
