Talos Overview

Talos builds institutional-grade trading technology that supports the global digital asset market through backend systems used across the trading lifecycle. This full-time Software Engineer position is based in London and focuses on developing high-performance backend services for trading and settlement platforms.

Working alongside product and engineering teams, you will contribute to system design, implementation, testing, and deployment while improving scalability, performance, and security. The role involves building complex backend infrastructure that powers institutional trading workflows and is suited to engineers with experience in Go, Java, C++, C#, or Python. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services that support digital asset trading and settlement.
  • Improve system performance, scalability, and security across backend infrastructure.
  • Work closely with product and client-facing teams to build solutions supporting the complete trade lifecycle.
  • Contribute to an engineering culture focused on innovation, transparency, and continuous learning.
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience using Go, Java, C++, C#, or Python.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex backend systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
  • Interest in financial technology; experience in cryptocurrency or traditional financial markets is beneficial but not required.
  • Must be local to the London headquarters.
