📍 The Role
This is a hybrid position—2 days in our London offices, with the flexibility to balance in-person and remote work.
Where you’ll fit in: The Banking and Repayments teams are at the heart of our platform, owning the core account experience for thousands of small business customers:
- Banking: Manages account operations, transaction lifecycles, balance management, ClearBank integration, and savings solutions.
- Repayments: Owns the repayment rails, including our latest open banking solution.
We’re looking for engineers who: ✅ Take genuine ownership of their work ✅ Work autonomously yet collaborate effectively ✅ Bring depth across the stack—we want well-rounded technical leaders
This is a high-priority hire with immediate impact from day one. Your code will reach customers quickly.

💼 Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, your focus will be on the Backend—but you’ll also contribute to Mobile development, helping transition ownership from Customer Experience to Banking.
What You’ll Deliver

Back-End Development:
- Design and build robust, scalable services in C#/.NET
- Own the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from feature inception to production monitoring and continuous improvement

Mobile Development (Flutter/Kotlin/Swift):
- Contribute to iOS and Android apps using Flutter, Dart, Kotlin, and Swift
- Help transition mobile ownership to the Banking team

Collaboration & Improvement:
- Work closely with Product, Design, and QA from feature shaping to delivery
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Identify bottlenecks and drive engineering improvements
- Bridge technical decisions with business goals in cross-functional discussions
🔍 Requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong back-end engineering experience, ideally in C#/.NET
- Mobile development experience—this is non-negotiable (must include Flutter/Dart, Kotlin, or Swift)
- Strong testing culture: Unit tests + integration tests
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (e.g., CodeMagic or similar)
- Experience working in Agile environments

- Proactive: Seek out ways to improve processes
