Software Engineer | Glasgow/Hybrid

Want to build software at the intersection of cloud, engineering and cyber security?

www.TheTechRecruiter.ai is hiring a Software Engineer for a growing Glasgow based business.

This is a backend-focused full-stack position working across APIs, security integrations, cloud services, and customer-facing platforms.

Tech you’ll work with: Python | TypeScript/JavaScript | React | AWS | REST APIs | PostgreSQL | Elasticsearch | CI/CD

You’ll be building integrations, developing APIs, working on authentication and SSO functionality, improving cloud-based platforms, and solving interesting technical problems within a security-focused environment. 80% of the work will be project-based with the rest being BAU.

  • Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript experience
  • API or backend development skills
  • Cloud/serverless knowledge
  • Git and modern development practices
  • An understanding of secure software development
  • A curious mindset and appetite to learn

Experience with AWS, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, React, SQL/NoSQL, or cyber security is particularly welcome but not essential. What is more important is someone who has a passion for software engineering and continually looks to improve. The role will be office-based in Glasgow 2/3 days per week.
