About The Role
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our dynamic technical team at 83zero Ltd. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, contributing to the development of new features and integrations within our modern software platform. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable microservices and REST APIs that support our client solutions. The position is based in Guildford, with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days in the office per week, fostering a balanced work environment that promotes collaboration and flexibility.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior developers and project managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-3 years of commercial software development experience, demonstrating proficiency with Node.js and related frameworks. Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture is essential. You should have hands-on experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, as well as traditional SQL databases. Proficiency in JavaScript and version control systems like Git is required. A solid understanding of software development best practices, including writing unit tests and participating in code reviews, is also important.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new features and integrations using Node.js and microservices architecture.
- Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs to support various client applications.
- Work with both NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL databases to design efficient data storage solutions.
- Create and support customer-specific software solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements and quality standards.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs promptly to ensure system stability.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products on time.
