Software Engineer – DICOM / Python | Oxford
Do you have hands-on experience working with DICOM? Would you like to use that expertise in a Software Engineer role where you can take ownership of technically interesting projects?
Looking for a growing team where you can develop your skills across Python, AWS, full-stack development and cloud technologies?
We’re recruiting a Software Engineer with DICOM experience for our client, an innovative technology business based in Oxford.
This is a great opportunity for someone with around 1–3 years’ software engineering experience who has worked with DICOM and wants to build on that specialist knowledge while developing a broader engineering skillset.

What We’re Looking For
DICOM or similar experience is the key requirement for this position.
Alongside this, our client’s wishlist includes:
- Around 1–3 years’ commercial software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python or a comparable language.
- Full-stack development experience.
- A good understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with FHIR, HL7, AWS, Linux, backend databases, CI/CD, TDD or BDD would be a bonus rather than a reason not to apply.
- Exposure to regulated, highly controlled or quality-focused software environments would also be useful.
