Software Engineer
Our Client, a leader in the manufacture of precision cutting tools, is looking to attract a Software Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to join their Digital Team.
Headquartered in the US with a European and Rest of the World presence, this role will report to the Director of Software Development. You will work on brand websites, internal web applications, and Machining Advisor Pro (MAP), our custom web and mobile app for tailored speeds and feeds, contributing to both front-end and back-end development. You will help expand, maintain, and modernise our platforms. One week you might be building a CMS feature, the next preparing a MAP mobile release or creating a new in-house web application. If you enjoy learning new technologies as needs evolve, rather than sticking rigidly to one language or framework, you will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand websites: Develop and maintain brand websites built on EPiServer CMS, using Razor, Vue.js, and SASS/CSS to deliver responsive, consistent experiences.
- Internal applications: Develop internal web applications that address business needs, working with SQL and Entity Framework.
- Machining Advisor Pro: Provide ongoing support and development for MAP across web and mobile, including iOS and Android releases, while moving from Angular to Vue JS.
- Modernisation: Contribute to the .NET 10 migration of our web applications, including the MAP API.
- Quality & support: Troubleshoot and debug issues across web applications, and keep clear technical documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
