Overview
Our client, a financial services organisation, is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join an Agile product team delivering and maintaining software for internal and external customers.
You’ll focus on delivering reliable working software while helping develop the team’s AI capability and improve engineering practices. The environment places a strong emphasis on test-driven development (TDD), automation, shift-left quality and building software that is straightforward to support and operate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and maintain software for internal and external customers.
- Work within an Agile product delivery team, continuously reviewing and improving how software is delivered.
- Help build and develop AI capability to improve effectiveness.
- Use customer feedback and engineering best practice to evolve products and services.
- Apply TDD, automation and shift-left approaches to build quality into software development.
- Develop software and systems with a build-to-run mindset, ensuring they are maintainable, supportable and operationally effective.
- Contribute to engineering practices that make development easier and more effective for other team members.

Requirements
- Experience as a Software Engineer.
- Experience working within an Agile software or product delivery environment.
- Ability to contribute to collaborative software delivery and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of TDD, automation and approaches that build quality into the software development lifecycle.
