Role Description The Software Engineer – Embedded/Automotive at Gegnat Inc. will design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for automotive systems in a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Programming and debugging embedded applications
- Implementing object-oriented design
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as hardware engineers and quality assurance
- Analyzing requirements
- Participating in code reviews

The role also involves:
- Documenting designs
- Contributing to technical specifications
- Supporting integration and testing activities throughout the development lifecycle
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, preferably in embedded systems and automotive applications.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application to real-time and embedded environments.
- Exposure to Back-End Web Development or system-level services that interface with embedded automotive platforms is a plus.
- Experience with C/C++ (and/or similar languages) for embedded development; familiarity with RTOS and microcontroller platforms.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and relevant standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262) is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Bengaluru, communicate clearly, and follow structured development and testing processes.
